Off the Beaten Path

We got of I-10 in the Florida panhandle to drop down to Apalachicola. There’s not much on this stretch of road so don’t expect to find gas every few miles.

Apalachicola is a tiny town that’s known for their oysters. The small town center is flanked by restaurants and shops and easily walkable.

We stopped into what might be described as a “hole in the wall” and was literally named that. We sat at the bar and had a front row view of one of the workers shucking oysters. They serve 100 dozen a day!
