A taste of fall

Since South Florida doesn’t provide any color changes in our leaves and the only noticeable change in the weather is less humidity, fall is only a date on the calendar and something we see in other parts of the country. But I wanted to see some fall colors so we set out to a local nursery because pumpkins even grow down here. Here are a few favorites of that outing. You can see more on my Flickr stream.

October sunset

Driving home from Jacksonville I couldn’t take my eyes off the beautiful sky as the sun was setting. Took these from the car window as we were driving South on I-95. Not too bad.

The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display of his craftsmanship. Psalm 19:1

Colors of a South Florida Fall

There are no leaves to change colors here. Sunrise over the Atlantic ocean in Deerfield Beach provides the brilliant orange of fall.

Hallelujah! Praise God from heaven, praise him from the mountaintops; Praise him, all you his angels, praise him, all you his warriors, Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, you morning stars; Praise him, high heaven, praise him, heavenly rain clouds; Praise, oh let them praise the name of God— he spoke the word, and there they were! Psalm  148
