This woman, carrying a black umbrella on a hot day, walking along the beach, her dress more suited to business, was intriguing. Every picture tells a story….
Hello new friends. I need some help from you. I’ve been using a free trial of SmugMug and wonder if anyone out there uses or has used this photo sharing site. I like it’s look and function more than Flickr but it’s not a free service. So feedback please. Here’s the link for the photo’s I currently have posted there on The View from Here.
Last week we were in Virginia. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the gardens at Monticello.
Deerfield Beach is the most direct from our neighborhood a few miles west. It’s our usual destination Saturday mornings. The north side of the Pier is a popular spot for skim, paddle and surf boards. This month the ocean has been flat not giving much for the skim boarders and surfers to work with but it doesn’t stop them from having a good time or me from trying to get a good picture.
The New River is what Fort Lauderdale was built on. It runs from the Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean with fresh water becoming a mixture of fresh and salt, or brackish. It provides a glimpse of a quieter Fort Lauderdale with its lush tropical landscape and feeds into the Intracoastal waterway where homes become massive and manicured. Manatee can be seen at times and boaters are cautioned to be watchful of them.
