    1. Thanks Roberta, they are terns. I thought another variety of seagulls. When do they lose their winter plumage since this was taken in the summer?

      1. I looked it up in my book yes these are in winter plumage,there is a toss between a elagant tern which is not normally found on east coasts, but the royal tern is more likly, according to this book they only keep their full black face (up and including the eye) for a brief period before gaining winter plumange, they are winter residents in most of southern and eastern florida and permanenet residents in on the east of florida according to this book. so I am sure there is alot of info on these birds on the net.
